Springfield started off as your basic fan page (yes, I do mean
page). We had no content, nothing worthwhile, heh but it felt
good to have something of our own out on the web. That was back in
December 1998. That's when things got started with SS. Since then it has grown considerably, changed designs
frequently and we even changed the topic of our site.
Originally South
Springfield had more South Park content than it did Simpsons.
What were Eric and I thinking?! Everyone knows The Simpsons are
better than South Park. ;) Back then our design was black and
white. Boring and ugly. All the content was pretty much
stolen. We even had 200 video clips on SS before we found out
that was kinda illegal. (laws are silly anyway)
It wasn't until
July 2001 that I, Dirk, started to take interest in the site
again. I just couldn't let it die, so I brought it back.
Slapped on a new logo, new colors, and well everything else is new
as well.
Eric still updates here occasionally, but he isn't to the site as
much as he was back in the beginning.
I'm basically
running a one man site here so if I go 2 weeks without any update
it's because I am extremely busy or lazy. One of the two.

Why doesn't South Springfield show up correctly in Netscape?
A:
Because it was designed using Microsoft FrontPage 2000. 'Nuff
Said. If you want the site to show up correctly, use Internet
Explorer 5.0 or higher.
